The Scoop: King Kone dishes up Old World charm with premium soft-serve custard and ice cream treats. The family-owned business -- around since 1995 -- takes its summer treats mission seriously. On its website, it makes clear on a promise “To maintain the philosophy of a family-based atmosphere while giving our customers the quality they expect at a fair price.”

The website also claims that it's the only store in Rockland County to serve old-fashioned frozen custard.
