Last year, Feeney designed a backdrop for Random Farms Kid’s theater’s production of “Willy Wonka.” The art work was used on the Today show as a backdrop for a reunion interview with actors from the movie.

A Daily Voice Community Advisor, Feeney has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and photographer, working in commercial art for more than 25 years.

"I have to say, it was a bit surreal to see my design on the Today show. Kudos to the many talented scenic artists who faithfully reproduced my vision," Feeney said after watching the show.

Attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, Feeney received the highest illustration award for her graduating class. She continued her studies at the School of Visual Arts. Her clients include Charles Scribners Sons, IBM, Harcourt Brace, McGraw Hill, Berkley Publishing Group, General Foods, Ballantine Books (a division of Random House), Orange and Rockland Utilities, Women's Day Magazine, Robin & Adler Books, Joshua Morris Publishing, Longmeadow Press, Hudson Valley Children's Museum, Historical Society of Rockland and ReMAX Realtors.

She works in a variety of mediums to meet the needs of each particular job. She feels strongly that, even though much of her work today is enhanced by computer, having a traditional art background makes her work so successful and compelling. She has used watercolor, oil, acrylic and pen and ink.

Feeney has illustrated 11 children’s books receiving many accolades, including a “Best Books” Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science for "Amoeba Hop." She recently finished "Hole in the Bottom of the Sea," which are both based on a song by Christine Lavin.
