Rockland Psychiatric Center In Orangeburg Presents 'The Early Years'

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- The Historical Society of Rockland County, NAMI Rockland, and the Rockland Psychiatric Center invite the public to "Rockland Psychiatric Center: The Early Years" Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, RPC, 140 Old Orangeburg Road in Orangeburg.

The center is celebrating its 85th anniversary through January with photographic displays and oral histories among events.

Dr. Kathleen Keefe Cooperman will present Thursday's program covering such topics as the history and treatments at Rockland State Hospital during its first decade.

A reception will follow the presentation.
