TAPPAN, N.Y. -- Nanuet-based Venture Foundation is partnering with a professional rodeo to bring a touch of the Wild West to the Rockland County area this weekend.

This is the first time that Venture Foundation joins with Mason and Shriners to present the event. It will benefit Camp Venture, a program for the developmentally disabled, along with Mason and Shriners.

The rodeo shows start at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, but there will be a variety of activities available from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. each day, including games, pony rides, food vendors and more. It all takes place at German Masonic Park, 89 Western Highway, Tappan.

The Venture Foundation will handle all of the midway attractions, including putting on special performances both days by the Venture Players Theater Group. There will also be Wild West shows, a mechanical bull and music.

"This is our first rodeo," said Bill Schule, executive director of Venture Foundation. "We think we'll do it again.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $28 for seniors, $25 for teens and $20 for children ages 3-12. Children younger than 3 are admitted free. For more details and to order tickets, visit the website or call 845-624-5402.
