A Breast Cancer Support Group will meet on the second Monday of each month starting April 4 and a Living with Cancer Group will meet once a week on Tuesdays beginning April 5.

Both groups are facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker and participation is free and open to any member in the community dealing with cancer.

The Breast Cancer Support Group offers support for individuals with a breast cancer diagnosis during and after treatment. Participants will hear how others are learning to cope with everyday life, relationships, family and friends while making connections to learn, share and gain support.

The Living with Cancer Support Group provides an ongoing opportunity for men and women with any cancer diagnosis to discuss the impact of cancer on their lives, normalize their range of feelings, and explore and share coping strategies.

Gilda’s Club Westchester provides support to cancer patients and their families by offering information, friendship, emotional support and community in a home-like environment.

The groups are held in the McCormack Conference Room at the Cancer Center at Nyack Hospital,160 N. Midland Ave., Nyack, N.Y. Pre-registration is required by calling Eric Kelly at (914)644.8844.
