A Sears store in the Hudson Valley is among 103 closing nationwide, parent company Sears Holdings announced.

All told, 64 Kmarts and 39 Sears stores nationwide will be shutting their doors permanently between early March and April, Sears Holdings said.

The area store is one of the original anchors of the Hudson Valley Mall, off I-87 and Route 9W in Ulster County.

“Sears Holdings continues its strategic assessment of the productivity of our Kmart and Sears store base and we will continue to right size our store footprint in number and size,” it said in a statement.

“In the process, as previously announced, we will continue to close some unprofitable stores as we transform our business model so that our physical store footprint and our digital capabilities match the needs and preferences of our members.”
