ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Rockland County McDonald's will no longer be offering toys in its Happy Meals, in an effort to keep chemicals away from children, reported lohud.com.

In June, the County Legislature adopted a law that banned the sale of children's products or clothing that contain benzene, lead, mercury, antimony, arsenic, cadmium and cobalt, according to lohud.com.

Representatives from McDonald's are not happy with the new law, claiming its products are safe, said lohud.com.
