ORANGETOWN, N. Y. -- Orangetown Supervisor Andy Stewart says it just makes sense to use old abandoned property at the Rockland Psychiatric Center to grow Rockland County's filmmaking potential, according to lohud.com.

Orangetown board memembers agreed this week to set aside some of the property for the possibility that it will be sold and converted into stages and studio space by Rockland Filming Campus, lohud.com says.

Officials with Rockland Filming Campus, which is currently based in New Jersey, are going to embark on a feasibility study to see if the old concrete-building campus would work for film productions, lohud.com reported.
