The New City market will once again host Salvation Army Red Kettle Collections at the front of the store this winter, part of the grocery chain's annual partnership with the singing and dancing volunteers. Store associates will work to make sure bell ringers receive hot beverages all day, as the ringers often stand outside in brisk temperatures.

DeCicco's will also work with Social Betterment of the Poor, People to People and St. Paul's of Valley Cottage, all area food banks, to ensure Rockland residents have access to holiday essentials.

For its good work in the community, DeCicco Family Markets was awarded the 2016 "Doing The Most Good' award by the Salvation Army, which recognizes outstanding corporations in the community.
